What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a format based on XML that is used for distributing and publishing web content such as headline news articles easily. This content can be delivered to your desktop via a news reader, news aggregator, or other RSS software without your having to visit the publisher's website directly. Most RSS feeds contain headlines, summaries, and links back to the original source.
