| Visitor Industry Council In 1991, the VIC teamed up with the nationally renowned School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University to provide two-year scholarship awards to upper division (Junior and Senior) students with solid academic credentials and strong visitor industry work experience. Scholarship awards include tuition, books and academic advisement. VIC students are required to complete a mandatory internship with a local tourism employer and to work in the visitor industry while pursuing their college degree. Corporate partners in the hospitality industry fund VIC scholarships.
