Study Abroad at the $100 million Marriott Tianjin China Program. This opportunity is available for all FIU students. The benefits of this program include:

Hospitality majors take the courses required to complete their degree.
Not majoring in Hospitality Management? In just one semester, non-majors may earn a minor offered exclusively at the FIU Center in China – Minor in International Hospitality Studies.

Cost
For your convenience, we have put together a study abroad package that includes roundtrip airfare, airport transfers, double-occupancy housing, uniforms, health and travel insurance, visa processing, a sight seeing tour, and a Chinese Culture Class* (taught by Tianjin University of Commerce). *Subject to enrollment of at least 10 students
Tuition, books, and food are not included.
Important Dates and Deadlines
- September 23 – Information session at 5 p.m. in HM 129 (BBC)
- September 24 – Information session at 3:30 p.m. (Location at Maidique Campus is to be announced)
- October 21 – Information session at 5 p.m. (Location at Maidique Campus is to be announced)
- October 22 – Information session at 3:30 p.m. in HM 129 (BBC)
- October 30 – Study Abroad Application and $1,000 Deposit Due
- November 4 – Mandatory Meeting for all participants at 4 p.m. in HM 211 (HM Conference Room)
- November 20 – Final Payment Due; No refund after this date
- November 23 – Registration Schedule Due
- December 2 – Mandatory Pre-Departure Meeting with Office of Education Abroad at 4 p.m. in HM 211 (HM Conference Room)
- January 1 – Depart from Ft. Lauderdale Airport for Beijing, China
- January 4 – FIU Classes begin in Tianjin
- May 1 – Return flight to U.S.A. (Graduating students will miss FIU graduation exercises in Miami on 4/26)
