My name is Charlomae Wathington and I have been in the hospitality industry for well over 20 years. I started out in operations being a GM and AGM for a small property, but slowly realized I had a passion for the people side of things. After some time I then ventured into HR and received my Masters in Human Resources Management along with my SHRM-SCP certification. Currently my position is Director of HR for Westgate Resorts.
Why do you want to serve on the FIU Chaplin School Alumni Network?
I would like to serve on the board to give back to the school that gave me the opportunity to open the doors that I did in hospitality. I am truly passionate about what I do and to encourage others to see FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality for the GREAT institution it is. Also, I want people to know that HR has a place in hospitality.
