Juan Tamayo is passionate about inspiring leaders through meaningful conversations that lead to collaboration, connection, compassion and accountability. Tamayo's passion in positive psychology and leadership, provides individuals with tools to combat burnout, navigate through the daily challenges of leading teams and help them grow in their leadership roles by establishing trust with those they lead. Tamayo has served as an executive coach to leaders in the corporate world and has taught classes on leadership, team building, and service excellence. During his time as Learning & Development Consultant with Celebrity Cruises, he influenced more than 3,000 individuals and helped them achieve higher levels of engagement. In his role as Learning & Development Manager with 1 Hotel brand in Kaua’i, Tamayo had the opportunity to be a part of the opening team and align more than 400 individuals to their unique brand and culture. Additionally, Tamayo's operations background in Food & Beverage with Hard Rock and their opening team in Hollywood, FL, makes him well educated in the high demands of such operation. Tamayo strongly believes that the teams who are the most functional can create an inspired workforce, which serves as the framework to have intrinsically motivated individuals ready to serve their guest. He is also a great advocate, voice and educator to promote Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace. His teaching experience with Teach For America and at Florida International University alongside his certifications from Cornell University’s Leadership Institute, has led him to partner with Erika Solano Luxury Hospitality and together continue to inspire the Hospitality Industry.
