Eric Hemer

Eric Hemer is Senior Vice President, Product Education for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, overseeing wine, spirits and related production education and certification in 45 US markets, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Eric has been with the company for 35 years; prior to his current role he held various sales, management, and educational positions in Florida before being promoted to his current role in 2013.

Eric is a Master of Wine, Master Sommelier and Certified Wine Educator, and works closely with these organizations as well as others as a lecturer, examiner, and mentor. He is also an advisor to the Beverage Academy and the Wine Guild at Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.

When he is off the clock, Eric enjoys tennis, travel, gardening, genealogy, music, and spending quality time with family and friends. He resides in Lake Worth, Florida with his wife Marianne.
