Student Hands-On Learning Experiences

Students in the Global Sustainable Tourism Bachelor of Arts program have a number of hands-on opportunities to help put what they learn in the classroom into real world practice, such as educating consumers via green teams at festivals like the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Ultra Music Festival. They also helped salvage potential food waste at the Super Bowl.

In December 2024, students went on a study abroad trip to one of the world’s most beautiful ecosystems, the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. Learn more about how students spent time living and learning about this fragile part of the world and tourist destination.
