Bio

Chef Isaac “IP” Perlman is a Miami-born culinary entrepreneur and hospitality professional known for his commitment to excellence, entrepreneurship, and mentorship. A proud graduate of Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (Class of 2014), he has built a career rooted in hands-on experience, business acumen, and a passion for the culinary arts.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Chef Perlman gained valuable experience through FIU’s immersive internships and training in high-end kitchens, where he honed his skills and developed a strong professional foundation. He later launched a successful private chef business, creating bespoke dining experiences for clients across South Florida and establishing himself as a trusted culinary professional.

In December 2020, during a challenging period for the hospitality industry, Chef Perlman fulfilled a long-standing goal by opening PERL Restaurant in North Miami Beach. Under his leadership, the restaurant has grown steadily and become a meaningful part of the local dining community, marking multiple years of operation and continued success.

Deeply connected to his alma mater, Chef Perlman regularly returns to FIU to share his journey and insights with hospitality students. Through alumni engagement, classroom visits, and mentorship, he remains committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation of hospitality leaders.

Driven by discipline, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose, Chef Isaac Perlman continues to expand his impact as a chef, entrepreneur, and proud FIU alumnus.
