Jhonatan Cano is a restaurateur, luxury hospitality expert, and tastemaker shaping the next era of fine dining. As a Partner at Hive Hospitality, he is part of the leadership team behind the restaurant group with the most Michelin-starred concepts in the America and the second-highest total Michelin stars nationwide.

Born in Lima, Peru, Jhonatan began his career in Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond hotels, including the Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Waldorf Astoria, and Conrad, where he developed an elite understanding of service, precision, and operational excellence. He later led minibar by José Andrés (2 Michelin stars) and barmini as General Manager, positioning the brand as one of the world’s most intimate, avant-garde culinary destinations.

He has since helped launch Hive Hospitality, overseen the development and success of a growing portfolio of award-winning concepts, including Jônt (2 Michelin stars) and Bresca (1 Michelin star) in Washington, D.C.; OMO in Orlando (1 Michelin star); MAASS at the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale (1 Michelin star) and Press Club in D.C., an elevated cocktail concept . Under Jhonatan’s leadership, Jônt became the only standalone restaurant in the Mid-Atlantic to receive both Relais & Châteaux and Les Grandes Tables du Monde honors, global benchmarks for culinary excellence and service.

His track record includes not only award-winning operations, but also building and developing world-class teams, nurturing rising hospitality leaders, and delivering outstanding financial performance across multiple high-profile openings and concepts.

Today, Jhonatan also serves as VP of Activations for Chef’s Table (Netflix), developing culturally resonant culinary experiences around the globe. His work connects the world’s most acclaimed chefs, producers, and brands at the highest level of storytelling and craft.

 He is also the voice behind the influential Instagram account @memoriesofagourmand, where he chronicles his global culinary journey, having visited 2000+ Michelin-starred restaurants across 39+ countries. His content is followed by chefs, journalists, and industry leaders alike for its refined palate and unparalleled access.

Jhonatan’s excellence has been recognized with the FIU Rising Star Award and the USA TUMI Award, celebrating Peruvian-American leadership and achievement.
