2. Sign up for orientation

The Chaplin School requires that graduate students in the Hospitality Real Estate Development and thesis tracks participate in the Graduate Student Orientation at the Chaplin School in order to fully understand the requirements of their graduate program. Students for all other on-campus sub-plans (non-thesis & Executive Master's) are also recommended to attend this session.

2021/2022 Hospitality Management Orientation Dates

  • Fall – Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1 pm via Zoom (direct link will be emailed)
  • Spring- Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1 pm via Zoom (direct link will be emailed)

Orientation Sign Up

The University Graduate School offers a non-mandatory orientation for new graduate students. This orientation is also conveniently available for participation online. Visit FIU Admissions to learn more.

3. Meet with your academic advisor

The graduate advisor for our on-site program is Kaleena Salgueiro-Czaykowsky.

You may schedule time with your advisor online or by call the main advising office directly at 305-919-4521.

4. Register for classes

Students may log into MyFIU via my.fiu.edu to access their assigned appointment date and time for registration. Prior to registering for classes, please make an appointment with your academic advisor, Kaleena.

Students will be able to register for classes in MyFIU after the appointment date and time. Please note that the majority of on-campus courses at the Chaplin School are offered on the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC).
